This Privacy Policy explains how US Address Generator, including the US and Hong Kong address generator pages (the “Site”), handles information when you visit or use the Site. In this Policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Site. This Policy applies to the Site at usaddressmaker.com; it does not apply to third-party websites or services that have their own privacy practices.
1. What the Site does
The Site generates fictional, synthetic address-format test data for lawful uses such as software testing, quality assurance, demos, form testing, localization testing, and prototypes. Generated records are not intended to identify real people, households, businesses, or deliverable premises. They are not proof of address, residence, business presence, or eligibility.
US records may include broad geographic reference fields such as city, state, county, ZIP code, and optional approximate city-level coordinates. Hong Kong records may include broad region, district, and area labels. Full street/building combinations are constructed from synthetic components. Because generated text can coincidentally resemble real-world information, you must not treat or use it as verified real-world data.
2. Information the core generator does not request
You do not need to create an account or provide an email address, password, payment information, uploaded file, home address, or user profile to generate records. The core generator does not ask for Social Security numbers, HKID numbers, tax IDs, passports, driver’s licenses, government IDs, payment-card numbers, bank details, proof-of-address documents, company-registration documents, or similar sensitive identity information.
Do not send sensitive personal information to us or enter it into the Site.
3. Generated records and local downloads
The generator creates records in your browser. Generated records may remain temporarily in the open page’s memory while you use the Site. CSV and JSON exports are created for local download through your browser, and copy actions use your browser’s clipboard features.
The reviewed version of the Site does not create an account history or intentionally send full generated records to us for persistent storage. We do not control copies that you save, download, copy, combine with other data, or share. You are responsible for handling those copies lawfully and securely.
4. Technical information
When you request a page, our hosting, content-delivery, and security provider may process technical information necessary to deliver and protect the Site. This may include your IP address, browser or user-agent information, device or operating-system information, requested URL, date and time, referrer, network and security signals, and error or diagnostic information.
We use this technical information to operate and deliver the Site, maintain security, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and understand service reliability.
5. Plausible analytics and cookies
We use Plausible analytics through plausible.shipsolo.io to understand Site usage. In the current integration, Plausible measures page views and engagement and may process information such as the page URL, referrer when available, site domain, and engagement data. Like any web request, the analytics endpoint also receives ordinary network and browser information, such as an IP address and user-agent information, when it receives the request.
The current Plausible integration does not use analytics cookies. The core generator does not require cookies. We do not configure analytics events to include generated full address records, user-entered sensitive information, payment data, or government identifiers.
You can use browser privacy settings, content blockers, or network controls to block analytics requests. If we add non-essential cookies, advertising pixels, session replay, or materially different analytics, we will update this Policy and implement any additional notice or choice mechanism required for that change.
6. How we use information
We may use technical, analytics, and correspondence information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
- understand page usage and engagement in aggregate;
- secure the Site and detect, prevent, or investigate abuse, fraud, and technical attacks;
- diagnose errors and monitor reliability;
- respond to privacy, security, copyright, support, or abuse reports; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations and protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not use generated records to build user profiles or determine your real identity, residence, or eligibility.
7. How we share information
We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. Cloudflare supports Site hosting, delivery, and security. Plausible supports audience measurement. These providers may process information on our behalf or as necessary to provide their services.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a valid request, or to protect the Site, users, rights, safety, and security.
- Organizational change. If responsibility for the Site is transferred as part of a reorganization, sale, or similar transaction, relevant records may be transferred subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share information with advertising networks for cross-site behavioral advertising in the reviewed version of the Site.
8. Retention
The generator does not intentionally retain generated records as an account history. Records held only in the open page generally cease to be available to the Site when the page state ends, although copies you download or save remain under your control.
Technical and analytics records may be retained only as reasonably needed for operation, security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, provider configuration, and legal obligations. Retention can vary by record type and service-provider settings; we do not state a fixed duration that has not been verified.
If you email us, we may retain the correspondence as reasonably needed to respond, keep appropriate support or abuse records, protect the Site, and comply with legal obligations.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the Site and the information processed. However, no internet transmission, browser operation, or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Do not send passwords, government IDs, payment-card numbers, bank details, proof-of-address documents, or other sensitive personal information by email or through the Site.
10. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the request and take appropriate action.
Different age rules may apply in some locations. Users must use the Site only in accordance with applicable law and with any permission required in their location.
11. Your choices and privacy requests
You may:
- use browser privacy settings or blockers to limit analytics requests;
- choose not to email us or provide information voluntarily;
- delete downloaded files or copied records under your control; and
- contact us to ask about technical or correspondence information that may be associated with you.
Depending on applicable law and the information we hold, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other action. We may need to verify a request and may retain or decline information where permitted or required by law. Because the Site has no user accounts, we may not be able to link ordinary technical or analytics records to a specific person.
12. International processing
The Site is available online, and Cloudflare, Plausible, or other infrastructure used to operate it may process information in countries or regions other than your own. Privacy and data-protection rules may differ across locations. Where required, we will use appropriate measures for relevant service-provider processing.
13. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this Policy. Review those notices before providing information to a third party.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when the Site, providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated Policy on this page and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate or legally required.
15. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, security or copyright concerns, and abuse reports, email support@usaddressmaker.com.
Do not send passwords, government IDs, payment-card numbers, bank details, proof-of-address documents, or other sensitive personal information.
